About 𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄
tentative was birthed around 2019 when I started dabbling with leather crafting. It was my
Pinterest board for the product line I wanted to make. Fast-forward to 2024, the board was not only
filled with product ideas but also visual inspiration for spaces and experiences.
Ironically, the name tentative stuck. As someone who has moved and kept moving to different
places, meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures, I somehow found connection to this
word. The melancholic feeling upon the realization that things are tentative and fleeting--not just
physical objects but also friendships, experiences, emotions and mental states. But also notion of
experimentation, trial, and exploration, the idea of being unsure but open to possibilities.

The root word of tentative is "tentare" or "tentare" (sometimes spelled "temptare") in Latin,
which means "to try," or "to attempt."
